It performs very well in the textile industry as a mordant in dyeing, in the cement industry as an additive, and in the tanning and chemical industries it is used as a raw material for obtaining aluminum salts. It is also used in the paper and pulp industry, soap, fatty acids and in the clarification of oils and fats, and in sugar mills it acts as a purifier of sugarcane molasses.
